The best way to change the world is to change the way you see yourself.

Toroa is an immersive, experiential journey that utilises Māori cultural dimensions to experience the challenges of leadership in today’s world.

By leveraging Māori cultural traditions, leaders attain greater insights to leading self, creating stronger organisational connectivity and embracing cultural diversity that adds true value for people and organisations they serve.

The Flight

Leaders often find it difficult to see a pathway forward, a way to navigate confidently on the next steps of their journey. Our Toroa program enables participants to understand their own leadership journey, how they have arrived at their current point and how to navigate onwards.

The program weaves aspects of Te Ao Māori with contemporary leadership and behavioural theory, delivered over a series of 2-day residential wānanga (overnight stays) in a traditional marae setting. This setting facilitates a shared experiential learning environment where participants are safe to experience vulnerability amongst the cohort.

Our Toroa program is designed to provide a bridge between the unique Māori culture of Aotearoa New Zealand and the more traditional management environment. This allows those looking to come at this from both ends of the spectrum to push forward in a psychologically safe environment to demystify and debunk myths.

Who is Toroa for?

Our Toroa program is designed for an optimal cohort size of 20 participants but may vary based on organisational needs. Designed for connecting organisational leaders; Toroa will build trust, intimacy and collaboration between the cohort that will leverage the groups strengths to elevate their influence. Through common purpose their bonds will last long into the future.

Participants can be drawn from all ranks and experience levels, although typically will have a current people leadership responsibility or potential therefore.
